I can't believe they let me take them home! But really what happens now? These are my thoughts as my husband and I embark on a new career, lifestyle, sleep patterns, etc. with our three kids, Jackson, Robert and Cora.
Happy Birthday Cora! How do I sum up my great day? Well I guess that I have a new person and daughter and we are all well sums it up. The birth story is simple. We got here to the hospital at 5:30. I was greeted in my room by a nurse that i had already met and really liked from a previous visit and we were off to a good start. Of course every birth was different and i am so thankful for the fact that different does not mean bad. I progressed quickly as anticipated by me but not by the nurses. So after a few hours of contractions, waiting for the doc to get here and 4 or 5 pushes Cora was placed on my chest at 10:49 this morning. She weighs 9.6 lbs and is 21 3/4 inches long and has a pile of hair! Every kid has something I remember right off the bat. Jack was his big eyes quietly and seriously looking back at me. Rob was his nose, so straight and perfect. For Cora it seems to be her arms. She keeps them tight and tucked up to her body with her left hand pushing her chin so much so that her lip is a bit to the side. She can cry! and she has been eating amazingly well for a day old so far. As I type she is on one side of me tuckered out from her bath and a LONG day and Bo is on the couch to the right of me deep asleep. Thanks for checking in everyone. We are thankful to be healthy and at the starting gate to this new adventure.
