Secrets

SSSHHH dont tell anyone please. One of the changes mentioned in the entry below is the fact that being a mom has made me into an avid label reader. There I said it. I realized this today at Trader Joes. I was without kids or hubby and a bit of time on my hands so I enjoyed driffing through the aisles reading labels. What kind of sugars does it use? What are the protein levels? Are there vitamins? Is there any real food in that? Some of the answers are good some are not good. I am reading a non-fiction book a friend passed on to me. The Year of the Goat, is a fun read and has encouraged my label reading even more. They address the Slow food movement in the book and although I am not near anywhere I can do it the concept interests me. So to support the fact that I am trying to grow up about being a grown-up I am being honest about my new addiction. You might find me in my spare moments in the stores reading while standing up.

that is a dirty little secret, don't worry, we won't tell anyone except for Orville Redenbacher and Chef Boyardee. They may get mad, but screw 'em, they still owe me for all of this saturated fats and ribonucleic acids they tricked me into consuming from 1981 to 1987. B**trds.
